1991 Sept - Sonny Loke’s first batch of students take their first grading examination in front of Shihan Francis Ramasamy and Mr Robert Choong.

1992 June - Sonny Loke relocates his classes to Taman Tayton View, Cheras, and teaches there for two years.

1992 Sept - A team headed by Garry Masters Sensei from the Ken Shin Kai dojo of Portsmouth, United Kingdom, pays a second visit to malaysia.

1994 Nov - Sonny Loke accompanies Shihan Francis on a visit to Ken Shin Kai in the United Kingdom for a series of seminars. While there he was invited to conduct children’s classes.

1994 Oct - Yoshinkan aikido is featured at the launch of the Rakan Muda programme at Dataran Merdeka on Oct 29th by then prime minister, Tun Dr Mahathir Mohammad.

1995 June 18th - The Taman Maluri dojo opens for classes for the first time with about 50 students.

1995 Aug - Paul Stevens Sensei, then chief foreign instructor of the international Yoshinkan Aikido Federation, visits the Maluri dojo for a series of seminars.

1996 March - Sonny Loke attends the Eighth International Budo Seminar at the International Budo University in Tatsukura, Chiba Prefecture, Japan. While there he visits Kyochi Inoue Shihan, then the chief aikido instructor for the Tokyo Metropolitan Police, at the Shinjuku Police Station dojo.

1996 Nov - Wisma Genting dojo opens.

1996 Dec - Yoshinkan aikido is featured in the launching of Pusat Rakan Muda (the Rakan Muda centre) at Plaza Phoenix by then minister of youth and sports, Tan Sri Dato’ Hj Muhyddin Hj Mohd Yassin.

1997 Sept - Kyoichi Inoue Dojocho, then headmaster of Aikido Yoshinkan Hombu Dojo, pays his inaugural visit to Malaysia.

1998 Feb - Yoshinkan aikido is featured at the “Little Japan in Genting” festival at the Arena of Stars, Genting Highlands Resorts.

1998 Aug - Yoshinkan aikido is featured at the First Japan- Malaysia Martial Arts Festival at 1-Utama shopping centre in Bandar Utama.

1998 July - Yasuhisa Shioda Shihan, son of the founder of Yoshinkan aikido, pays his second visit to Malaysia for a series of seminars. Hj Mohd Yassin.

1999 July - Rakan Muda All-Malaysia Yoshinkan Aikido Summer Training Camp is held in Penang.

1999 Sept - Sonny Loke features in the foreign instructor segment of the 44th All-Japan Yoshinkan Aikido Demonstration.

1999 Oct - Sonny Loke conducts a two-week intensive training course in aikido for instructors of the Pejabat Latihan Seni Mempertahankan Diri at Pusat Latihan Polis in Jalan Semarak, Kuala Lumpur.

1999 Oct - Tsutomu Chida Shihan, then chief instructor of Aikido Yoshinkan Hombu Dojo, visits Malaysia for a series of seminars and public demonstration.
